Sabine Falls Fungi Walk

It was a two hour drive, which included a stop at Kennett River for morning tea, but the ten people who came along on this pleasant autumn morning all felt it was well worth the effort. The activity had been advertised as a fungi walk and we were very pleased to welcome fungi expert Richard Hartland who was prepared to share his knowledge of this mysterious world – identifying over 40 different species.

Some of the group preferred to stay with Richard and study the fungi in detail.

It was certainly a magical part of the Otways and the Great Otway National Park.
